Meet The Artists
Dan Zalevsky (Quinn Carney) (he/him) I am very happy to return to the Ensemble stage in this production of The Ferryman. Family is the central theme of this production. You are about to spend an evening with the Carney family on this stage. It is my hope that you will be moved by their saga and, as is the case in all good live theatre, feel that you are a part of it. This show is being produced by a group of artists that have become my family through the past three years. We have all had the privilege of pushing one another to meet new artistic challenges. We have grown together and there is no better theatre to tackle this beautiful monster of a play. Within this family of artists is my literal family. My son, Liam has created original music and will be helping with tech this evening. My real-life daughter Claire will be portraying my fictional daughter Nunu, and my wife Claudia will be making her assistant directorial debut. I would list my previous credits but I think I’ve run out of space so I hope you enjoy our family within a family portraying a family this evening and that you leave here feeling like you too are a part of it.
Laura Rauh (Caitlin Carney) (she/her) is very happy to be returning to Ensemble Theatre where she has appeared as Mother Courage in Mother Courage and Her Children, as well as in Enemy of the People, The River, Describe the Night, and All This Intimacy. Some Cleveland and Regional credits include Speech & Debate at Beck Center, King Lear at Ohio Shakespeare Festival, Henry VII at Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, Messiah on the Frigidaire at Greenhouse Theatre, Cold Cold Feet at Stage 773, and Auditions Tonight at The Appollo Theatre in Chicago. She has trained at Steppenwolf Theatre, Second City, and Ohio University. She appreciates the support from her wonderful boys and big Irish family!
David Bugher (Father Horrigan) (he/him) returns to Ensemble after appearing in their production of The Normal Heart as Bruce Niles. He has appeared at Dobama in their productions of Time Stands Still, Kin and Hand to God. At The Beck Center he has appeared in The Imaginary Invalid, Holy Ghosts, Mothers and Sons and Bent. At Cleveland Public he has appeared in Spirits to Enforce. He was in ten seasons of the Oberlin Summer Theatre Festival. Most recently he appeared as Sorn in Oberlin College’s production of Stupid Fu**ing Bird.
Joseph Milan (Muldoon) (he/him) is chuffed to return to this substantial Ensemble Theatre family for The Ferryman! He extends his appreciation to his fellow cast, critters, and crew for their inestimable talent. Joe's recent stage appearances were in The Squirrels at Convergence Continuum, Canadian Gothic at Cesear’s Forum, Enemy of the People: Rustbelt Adaptation and Mother Courage and her Children here at Ensemble Theatre. He also wrote and scored Karfuffle in Parmadoro: a Micro-Operetta with the rock star-neutral chamber ensemble, Malphonia, which enjoyed a sold out run at Wizbang Theater this past February.
Aaron Elersich* (Tom Kettle) (he/him) is delighted to return to the Ensemble stage for The Ferryman. Previous Ensemble Theatre project highlights include Describe the Night, The Great Gatsby, Prelude to a Kiss, and The Iceman Cometh. A handful of other local favorite credits include Rapture, Blister, Burn, Proof, August:Osage County, Sweeney Todd, Hamlet, Into the Woods, A Kind of Courage, The Winter’s Tale and Company. Nanna Ingvarsson (Aunt Patricia Carney) (she/her) is delighted to be making her Ensemble Theater debut. Rebecca Moseley (Mary Carney)(Co-Director) (she/her) is excited to return for another season with Ensemble Theatre, and to celebrate their third season in their new home at John Carroll University! A member of Ensemble since 2013, she has worn and will continue to wear many artistic hats. She currently serves as Ensemble’s General Manager and has stage managed numerous amazing productions, including Describe the Night, Angels in America, A Moon for the Misbegotten, Intimate Apparel, The Iceman Cometh, Anna Christie, and Death of a Salesman.She has appeared on the Ensemble stage in roles such as Catherine (Proof), The Woman (The River), Daisy Buchanan (The Great Gatsby), and Pea (Jerusalem), with additional favorite credits elsewhere including Rosalind (As You Like It), Opehlia (The Horatio Project,) Dorine (Tartuffe), and Maggie (A Chorus Line). As a director, Rebecca recently helmed Ensemble’s productions of Lungs, An Enemy of the People: A Rustbelt Adaptation, and co-directed Mother Courage and Her Children and Long Day's Jounrey into Night with Ian Wolfgang Hinz. She also assistant directed She Kills Monsters at Notre Dame College. She is grateful to Ian and Celeste for their steadfast vision and commitment to beautiful scripts, to her family for their support, and to her husband Kyle for always believing in the magic.
Mary Alice Beck (Aunt Maggie Faraway) is excited to be back on the Ensemble stage. Earlier this year she portrayed Mary Tyrone in Ensemble Theatre’s production of Long Day’s Journey Into Night. She has performed at other local theatres including: Cesear’s Forum, The Beck Center for the Arts, Karamu House, Cleveland Public Theatre. Clague Playhouse and Cleveland Shakespeare. Favorite roles include Margrethe Bohr, Copenhagen; Lotte Schoen, Lettuce & Lovage; Ilene, Rasheeda Speaking; Helen Sutherland, The Pitman Painters; Tamora, Titus Andronicus; Linda Loman, Death of a Salesman; Blanche DuBois, A Streetcar Named Desire.
Nick Hassan (James Joseph “JJ” Carney) (he/him) is a Cleveland based actor and writer. He received his BA in Theatre Arts from Cleveland State University. His most recent credits include Willie in Sawdust at The Borderlight Festival, Randall McCain in Journey West at Convergence Continuum, Toad in Frog and Toad The Musical, Ensemble in Secret in the Wings at Convergence Continuum, Father in Frankenstein the Musical at Blank Canvas Theater, and Maury in The Beautiful and Damned at Convergence Continuum in his time at Cleveland State University he played Jimbo in Fairview, Hot Blades Harry in Urinetown, Jasper in The Aliens, Trekkie Monster in Avenue Q, Slasvick/Peter in By The Way Meet Vera Stark, and Ensemble in Sweeney Todd. He is honored and excited to be working with Ensemble Theater on The Ferryman and he hopes you enjoy the show!
Lucy Dolzine (Shena Carney)(she/her) is thrilled to make her Ensemble Theater debut as Shena. As a Senior at Laurel School, her recent credits include Peter and the Starcatcher (Mrs. Bumbrake), Matilda (Mrs. Phelps), The Crucible (Elizabeth Proctor), Into the Woods (Cinderella), Clue: On Stage (Wadsworth), and Seussical (Bird Girl) including stage managing work for The Epic Of the Magic Cloth and Frozen Jr. She has worked with University School, Heights Youth Theater, as well as Dobama Theater in their Emerging Actors Program and with Denison University at their TUTTI summer program on the theater track. She wants to thank her family for supporting her in all of this, her sister, who ran lines with her (even when she was busy), all of her teachers and mentors who have shaped her as an actress, and Ensemble Theater for this amazing opportunity.
Jacob Matthew Shean (Michael Carney) (he/him) is a sophomore at John Carroll University. He recently starred in John Carroll University’s production of Little Shop of Horrors as Seymour. This is Jacob’s first show with Ensemble Theater and is grateful to everyone who helped him through this journey of growth!
Claire Zalevsky (Nunu) (she/her) is delighted to make her Ensemble Theatre debut in The Ferryman! Recent credits include Frozen (Sven) at Laurel School, Seussical (Gertrude) at University School, Everybody (Time) at Kent State University’s School of Theatre and Dance, Make Believe (Young Addie) at Dobama, and numerous Heights Youth Theatre productions. When she’s not acting, Claire plays drums for The Untitled Documents, a band coached by members of Cleveland’s Apostle Jones. She is an 8th grader at Laurel School and is interested to see how this family therapy session, AKA: "all of us doing the same show", works out. Claire is grateful to Celeste, Ian, and Becca for this opportunity. And finally, Claire has one humble request: "Please let me keep the bunny!"
Samuel Roter (Shane Corcoran)(he/him) is excited to make his Ensemble Theatre debut in The Ferryman! He earned his Bachelor of Science at Muhlenberg College, double majoring in Chemistry and Theatre. Recent credits include Pierre in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (Muhlenberg), Demetrius/Starveling/Mustardseed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Rubber City Theatre), Jimmy in the Cleveland premiere of Bubble Boy (Blank Canvas Theatre), Stanley in the world premiere of Uhaulin’ (Cleveland Public Theatre), Everybody et al. in Everybody (Muhlenberg), and Alejandro in The Labyrinth of Desire (Muhlenberg).
Margot L. Payne (Mercy Carney) is a student at Laurel School and is thrilled to be making her debut with Ensemble Theatre. She is honored to be part of such a talented cast and crew. A gifted singer and actress, Margot has performed with several theaters throughout Northeast Ohio and has also sung with Cleveland-area bands. Though she may be small in stature, she has the powerful voice of a true soul singer. Margot dreams of becoming a professional singer and actress. When she's not on stage or at school, she enjoys spending time with her best friend, Riley, teasing her twin brother, Gus, and cuddling with her two cats and her dog, Irma. Margot would like to thank her mom, Amy, for driving her all over Cleveland and for her endless love, encouragement, and support.
Theodore Sluzewski (Declan Cocoran)(he/him) is excited to be making his debut with Ensemble Theatre. Recent/Favorite credits include Peter Pan Jr. with Cain Park, Matilda Jr. with Saint Ann School, Wind in the Willows with Heights Youth Theatre, and Newsies with Benedictine High School. He also was recently on stage with The Marilyn Bianchi Kids’ Playwrigthing Festival with Dobama Theater. He is in the seventh grade at Saint Ann School at Communion of Saints Parish, and a vocal student with Ellis Music Studio. When not performing, Theodore enjoys playing basketball, playing the trombone, Scouting America, and reading mystery and horror novels. Thank you to everyone for this opportunity!
Isabella Disantis (Honor Carney)(she/her) is thrilled to be back onstage, because talking in a normal voice is overrated! This 10-year-old Cleveland area native's most loved pastime is collecting favorite roles such as Gretl (The Sound of Music), The Little Girl (Ragtime), Pepper (Annie), Michael (Peter Pan Jr.), and countless others! When she isn't rehearsing, Bella can be found belting show tunes all around the house, reading any book she can get her hands on, and hanging out with her Golden Retriever, Liberty, who is still waiting for her own big theater debut. Bella sends a standing ovation of love to her amazing family, friends, directors, teachers, and castmates for making every show an epic adventure. Nathan Miller (Diarmaid) (he/him) is a Junior at Orange High School. He has grown up performing around Cleveland at Stagecrafters, Heights Youth Theatre, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, and more. Recently, he was seen as Jesus in Godspell, Hot Blades Harry in Urinetown, and Robbie Heart in The Wedding Singer, all at Stagecrafters. Previously, he took on the character of Zak in School of Rock at both Cain Park and Stagecrafters, and was an understudy in Cleveland Play House’s production of Watching Butterflies. Theater holds a special place in his heart. Beyond the stage, he has a keen interest in coding, sound design, and writing music, as well as a passion for playing the cello and guitar. He would like to thank the entire Ensemble Theater team for this opportunity.
Ethan Monaghan (Oisin Carney) (he/him) is so thrilled to be making his Ensemble Theatre debut! He is a 10th grader at Lake Catholic High School in Mentor where last spring he won Beat Supporting Actor for Sebastian in The Little Mermaid at the Lake County Theater Awards. Favorite roles include Jack (Into the Woods) at Blank Canvas, Ralphie (A Christmas Story) at The Cleveland Play House, Adam (Freaky Friday), Scuttle (The Little Mermaid), Lefou (Beauty and the Beast) and Kristoff (Frozen Jr) all at The Heights Youth Theatre. A proud member of SAG, Ethan has appeared in Manhunt; Deadly Games (Netflix) and Baggage Claim (Independent Film). His voice-over credits include Netflix: Horton (Dr. Seuss's Horton!), George (Kotaro Lives Alone), Disney Jr: Kyle (Mickey Mouse Funhouse). Chris Bizub (Frank Magennis) is thrilled to be returning for yet another production with Ensemble Theatre! You may remember him from A Raisin in the Sun (Karl Lindner), Mama/Moon (Oliver Reed), The Iceman Cometh (Hugo Kalmar), and Waiting for Lefty (Miller)! Some recent acting credits include productions of Macbeth (Sargeant/Old Siward), Romeo and Juliet (Prince Escalus) and Love’s Labours Lost (Longaville) at the Ohio Shakespeare Festival, Richard III (Richard III) at Twilight Theatre, The Fantasticks (Henry) at Stocker Center for the Arts, Cyrano De Bergerac (Cyrano De Bergerac), in ASSASSINS (Leon Czolgosz) and The Underpants (Benjamin Cohen) at Western Reserve Playhouse, Hamlet (King Claudius) and Julius Caesar (Cassius) at Cleveland Shakespeare Festival. Keenan Carosielli (Malone) (he/him) is thrilled to be join the cast of The Ferryman. You have seen him on Ensemble’s stage in Mother Courage and Her Children and the world premiere of The Prospect of Equality. He worked with the Ensemble Team on A View From The Bridge and has also worked on stage and in an various readings for theatres through out town! He would like to thank Celeste Cosentino, Ian Wolfgang Hinz and Rebecca Moseley for allowing him the opportunity to work with all wonderfully talented artists. Keenan would like to dedicate his performance to his grandfather, John Anthony Carosielli.
Dennis F. Bunch (Understudy JJ, Michael, & Shane) (he/him) is excited to officially be making his Ensemble Theatre debut with The Ferryman! Previously, he has performed at multiple theatres throughout the area, most notably in Heights Youth Theatre’s The Drowsy Chaperone (The Man in the Chair), and The Willoughby Fine Arts Association’s The Who’s Tommy (The Lover). When he is not performing he can be found with his nose stuck in his law books, pursuing his law degree. He would like to thank Celeste, Becca, and Ian for giving him the opportunity to perform with such a wonderful company, and he would especially like to thank his girlfriend, Casidy, for always pushing him to pursue his passion.
Declan Robertson (Understudy Oisin) (he/him)
Ian Wolfgang Hinz (Co-Director/Light & Set Design)(he/him) is a graduate of Ohio University. Ian has worked professionally as a producer, award winning director, Light, Set, & Projection designer, director of operations and theater educator for over twenty years in Ohio and New York. He is co-founder of the Ensemble Stage-Wrights’ workshop, two-time winner of the Cleveland Critics’ Circle Award for Best Director and served as Artistic Director and Operations Manager for the city of Cleveland Heights’ historic Cain Park Amphitheater. He has worked in operations for The Ohio State University Jerome Schottenstein Center and the Cleveland State University Department of Music as a stage production specialist. He has produced off-off-broadway at the Gene Frankel Theater and worked in business development in the tech startup industry in New York City. He recently served for 4 years as the Executive Director for Raise the Roof for the Arts, in charge of program creation, scheduling and major capital renovations to The Historic Sidney Theatre in Sidney, OH. He also recently served as the General Manager of Cain Park in Cleveland Heights for two historical and record breaking seasons.
Claudia Lief Zalevsky (Assistant Director) (she/her) The Ferryman marks Claudia’s first foray into assistant directing. Her recent credits include Ensemble Theatre’s Proof (Claire) and Prospect of Equality (Kagan), Mercury Theatre’s Clue (Mrs. White) and My Son Pinocchio (Blue Fairy), and Interplay Jewish Theatre’s staged readings of Playing Dirty and V-E Day. She has also worked behind the scenes as a stage manager for Heights Youth Theatre productions. Offstage, Claudia is the Director of Alumnae and Family Engagement at Laurel School, a job that requires many of the same skills as theater, minus the costumes. She can also be found taking on a range of ridiculous roles in Zalevsky Halloween Productions. Claudia is endlessly grateful for the talented cast she’s lucky to live with, Dan, Liam, and Claire, and for the incredible Ensemble family, which has embraced all four Zalevskys.
Madeline Jarosz (Production Stage Manager) (she/her) is excited to be stage managing The Ferryman this season! This is her first time with Ensemble, and she is grateful for this incredible opportunity. As a graduate of JCU in 2025, it means the world to be back in the Marinello Little Theatre again working alongside such talented people. As an active member in the Cleveland theatre scene, Madeline’s recent onstage credits include Macbitches (Rachel) at Convergence Continuum, Frankenstein: A New Musical (Ensemble) at Blank Canvas, and Radium Girls (Katherine Schaub) at John Carroll University. Her production credits include Matilda Jr. (Director) at Perry Middle School, and The Addams Family (Director) with Mighty Goliath Productions. As always, she expresses her deepest gratitude to her family and friends for their constant support as she works to live out her dreams on and off the stage.

Liam Zalevsky (Co-Sound Design) (he/him) is very excited to join his family in bringing the Ferryman to the Ensemble stage. He has been playing guitar since the age of five and plays in local bands in the Greater Cleveland area, including his own band, The Untitled Documents, which includes his sister, Claire on the drums. Most recently, the band was seen performing at the Abbey Road On The River festival in Louisville, Kentucky. For the past few years he has begun to branch out into Audio Production and DJing, working professionally in these areas. In addition to his live performances, he has worked backstage in several Heights Youth Theatre productions as an Assistant Stage Manager and soundboard operator. You may remember a long-haired Liam, playing guitar in Ensemble's production of Mother Courage a few years ago. He would like to thank you for coming to the show. Celeste Cosentino (Executive Artistic Director, Producer, Co-Sound Design) has served in some "role" for Ensemble since she could walk. She has served in one capacity or another both on stage and off for many local Cleveland theaters her entire life, having worked with The Cleveland Play House, Dobama Theatre, Clague Play House, Cain Park, Bang & Clatter, Willoughby Fine Arts, Weathervane Playhouse and more. She is a graduate of the Ohio University School of Theatre and returned to Cleveland in 2008, after living and working in New York City. Some of her favorite acting credits are Marela in Anna in the Tropics, Alice in Closer, Desdemona in Othello, and Kayleen in Gruesome Playgound Injuries. Favorite directing credits include The Gospel According to James, Death of a Salesman, Lower Ninth, Animals out of Paper, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, The North Pool, both parts of Tony Kushner's epic Angels in America and more recently A View From The Bridge, & Describe The Night which won the 2022 Cleveland Critics Circle Award for Best Production! Celeste also spent some time in the corporate/business management world and worked for the Cleveland Museum of Art in their groundbreaking world renowned ARTLENS gallery for almost a decade. Celeste is the daughter of Ensemble Founder, Lucia Colombi and continues to support her mother's mission by providing a fresh perspective as Ensemble’s Executive Artistic Director. She was raised by Ensemble and the Cleveland theatre community and has a special dedication to its continuation for many years to come.
